Another few pages to the Christmas Album

Here are some more fun pages to the Christmas album. Slowly but surely i will get it done. :) Thanks for looking! Feel free to leave comments or questions. I cut most everything on the pages with my cricut. Love the fireplace.

Mariposa Mini Album

I love the way the cover of the mini turned out, i used my sizzix die cut for a photo of my dad and my son and then i used a Prima flower embellishment, I think this is from one of there new lines. I used Rangers gold paint dobber to paint the frame, i used the gold dobber for most all of the frames in this album. I thought that it really fit the paper. I have not yet put a sentiment on it yet, i am actually going to have a chipboard piece saying vacation memories at the bottom.

For the second page i used one of the chipboard embellishments that came from the chipboard box that you get from the Mariposa line and a Prima flower, along with Prima bling. I again used my Sizzix Big Shot to cut out the small scallop tag (from medium weight chipboard), then i used crackle paint to cover the chip piece. Once it was dried, i stamped a butterfly on the top of it and used gold stickles in the center to keep with the paper. I really love this technique, it is the second time i have done this, with the same stamp actually
For the page below i just cut out an envelope with my cricut, i beleive i used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, I put a picture of my son on the top of the enve and then i made a tag for the inside of it (the tag has a picture on it, so i didn't want to show it). I also stickled around the page since i couldn't do to much embellishing, i thought it looked nice. The next page has a picture of my parents on the beach, i cut out a heart with my sizzix and just stuck a photo in it. I also used the photo as a pocket to get some tags in. It worked out really nicely.

This page was pretty simple i just used an acetate frame that i cut in half and glued on to the piece. There are tags (next photo after this one) that i made for this pocket.
This page was also pretty simple I used a picture of my parents and my son as a pocket and just have some tags in there. Love being simple sometimes. I love the flower that i created using Prima bling for the tag, i think i will use this technique again.

This page is almost finished, i just have to stick a sentiment or something at the top right corner it will be done. I used that Frame Stamp die cut from sizzix again, colored it with gold paint dobber and then i cut this little cute folder for journaling on my Cricut using the Fabulous Finds cartridge. There is a small scallop tag (cut with sizzix) with a picture of me and my son on it also both the folder and the small tag go inside the frame stamp pocket.

This page is fairly simple as well, used the frame die cuts from sizzix and then a Prima rose. Cute and simple. I also used gold stickels around the chipboard piece to give it a little more something.
Below is a frame from the dollar spot from Michaels, I wanted to make it similar to the paper to the background so i used gold paint dobber to distress it a little bit. I thought that it really went well with the paper. That is a picture of hubby and my self.

This is the last page of the mini, and this is my all time favorite page and picture. I just happened to get a shot of my hubby, my son and my dad all walking together on the beach. I think it turned out so cute. I used stickles around the picture and used a spellbinders die to cut the picture out. I thought the picture was perfect as a last page. Uh, love it. :)
That is the end of my mini, i will probably add a few more things here and there, but this is my all time favorite mini that i have made so far (keep in mind i have only made 3. LOL). Thank you so much for looking and please leave a comment letting me know what you think.

Thanks

Mariposa Mini Album

Hey everyone,

Here are a few things that i have been working on. This week has been a little crazy, i have a statistics test tonight which i am not looking forward to. So, i thought i would do a little update on my blog and that would make me feel better.

Anyway, I used the Mariposa (DCWV) paper for this mini. This paper is so pretty, i really had a hard time covering the pages up with any embellishments. I think this paper is really great for people who have a hard time picking out which embellishment goes where and with what because the paper is embellishment enough. So, i did have to cover the photos up for the privacy of my family. Some people don't like to have their photos shared so i had to respect that.

Onto the mini album!

Christmas Mini Album

Here are a few pages that i have been working on for my Christmas mini album. The double page layout was totally inspired by someone on the Cricut message board. I have to look up the name and will post it. The Mickey Mouse and Cars stickers were totally inspired by my son. LOL. He saw the pages and was really excited that i put those on the layout.

This is my second Christmas mini album, i am really enjoying making these. The page above is going to have some pictures of us picking out the tree this year. The picture will go where the Matroshka is now and then i will have some tags in the ribbon pocket that i created. For the lettering "Oh Christmas Tree" I used glossy accents and then i drenched the letters in some clear beading .

With this layout i was hoping to capture Christmas morning. I used A Child's Year cricut cartridge to cut out the Santa giving the child the gift and then made some tab folders to go inside the ribbon pocket. Of course i used Stickles to trace most everything. I will have photos on each of the front of the tabs and then a main photo in the frame. I really like the way this one turned out.

Congratulations Card

I really enjoyed making this card with the new Mariposa cardstock from DCWV, and i am very happy with the way it turned out. I love this paper it is so beautiful. I used some Prima flowers as well as some Prima bling. Gotta love Prima.

On the inside of the card i used a stamp from Tim Holtz and then heat embossed and then just did some random butterfly stamping around the page with VersaMark.

Please feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think.
